Samsung Slider 7 Windows 7 Tablet with Intel Oak Trail CPU at CES 2011

The Samsung Slider 7 is a full Windows 7 system that is expected to debut in April with an Intel Atom-based Oak Trail CPU and Samsung’s UI on top of this Windows tablet. It has a convertible form factor with a slide and tilt screen to reveal a keyboard, making this device straddle between netbook and tablet.

They shouldn’t release videos like this. It turns the average customers heads away from it. It’s an early prototype right now but some of these dumbasses don’t understand it. They’ll miss out on a product that would’ve been the best thing that ever happened to them. Unfortunately they look at vids like this and they say “fail tablet!” “too much lag, goin back to my ipad!” and when it’s released it’s 100x better and then they look stupid. I love the potency of this tablet :)

Why not just buy a regular laptop? If i’m gonna buy a tablet, i’m gonna buy one with Android. This is more a laptop to me, then a tablet.

To everyone commenting on lag, this thing is going to lag when released. The atom processor it has simply isn’t powerful enough to run Win 7 plus their add-on UI stuff without tangible lag. If they came out with one with an i3 or something reasonable I’d buy one yesterday. I love the form-factor.

  • ChangO990 · February 29, 2012 at 3:43 pm

Can Anyone Send Me The Link To Where They Sell This, Like iCan’t Seem To Find It, Thank You.

  • MrKrashjames · February 29, 2012 at 3:49 pm

no tablet is better than a windows tablet because a windows tablet has usb ports and stuff like that and it can fully replace your current home system. but if u get ipad or galaxy thing u still need pc to put music, movies and other important data, so its better to buy a touch screen netbook other than an ipad!!!
